Miguel Villapudua

San Joaquin County

Raised with humble upbringings, Miguel Villapudua grew up on a farm just on the outskirts of East Stockton. The youngest of 5 children to parents Armando and Rosalva Villapudua. Feeding livestock, caring for the family crops and other outside chores was a daily routine. Since at an early age, a strong work ethic was instilled along with strong family values.

After finishing school locally and a couple of endeavors, he seized the opportunity to work in the transportation business for a new company, where he started in sales but quickly rose to Branch Manager and with his team, he was able to grow the business to become one of the top in its field in California and with that he was able to help create many new local jobs and higher revenue for San Joaquin County.

Looking for ways to be more of an integrated part of the County’s growth, he sought and was successfully appointed to the San Joaquin County Planning Commission in 2008 where he served for 8 strong years in helping with the development of many big community and commercial projects.

Wanting to contribute even more and make a bigger impact, he decided to set his sights on the 2016 Election for San Joaquin County District One Supervisor which he successfully won and recently was re-elected in 2020. Supervisor Villapudua serves on 19 Committees that includes the San Joaquin Council of Governments, Children’s and Families Commission, Aviation Advisory Committee, San Joaquin Partnership, LAFCO just to name a few.

Supervisor Miguel Villapudua has launched successful programs to address quality of life issues for citizens with his Safe Neighborhoods ONE Project, Has initiated Free Dumpster Day and Cleanup Events throughout the year, New infrastructure projects and job opportunities in lower income communities and during the pandemic, he has been nonstop in the efforts to help bring testing, vaccinations, PPE and resources to the most vulnerable and with extra emphasis on our Migrant workers and their families.

San Joaquin County Supervisor Miguel Villapudua is committed to keeping families in their homes, saving small businesses and keeping everyone safe. He will continue to  support public safety, help foster growth, higher paying jobs and higher education.
